Description

In Shirakawa-go, during fall, this festival is held to dedicate doburoku rice wine to the gods and pray for a productive harvest of the five grains, along with family safety and peace in the village. The festival hall is a museum that gives an overview of the festival and its evolution, with exhibits such as reconstructions of the festival rituals using realistic mannequins and models.
